Established in 1956, MAIL-A-MAP Street Maps is Connecticut's leading publisher of local advertiser-supported media, including maps and restaurant placemats. We are looking for an experienced ad sales rep to open up new territories in MA(except Southeast MA), PA, ME, VT, NH, NJ, NY.
MAIL-A-MAPs are published annually and distributed locally by Town Hall, Chamber of Commerce and the advertisers. Our renewal rate is consistently in the 60% to 75% range, so our reps build a base of business they can count on year after year. Our average map ad sale is $200, an affordable amount for businesses in today's economy. MAIL-A-MAPs offer long-term local exposure at a price businesses can afford.
Our successful reps are friendly, outgoing, persistent and enjoy the process of calling on local business owners. The best reps usually have previous outside sales experience and often have owned their own businesses and/or worked independently. We encourage sales reps to work their own schedules and never have more than one rep working in the same town.
The average tenure with the company for our current sales reps is seven years-we know how to compensate and retain talented ad sales reps who like to work on their own.
Ad sales positions involve day travel about 75% of the time, with the balance of the rep's time spent telemarketing from a home office. Commission income ranges from $25k to $60k.
